toe bride Dressing the men in your party

Many centuries ago, grooms would have to kidnap their prospective brides from disapproving families. The groom would choose a friend to bring along (his best man) to help him fight for the woman. While fighting, the groom would hold the woman with his left hand, and fight with the sword in his right hand.

In addition to this, the groom would have groomsmen that would act as bodyguards' for the bride, making sure she arrived at the wedding with her dowry and other things intact as they did in Anglo-Saxon days or fend off raging mobs as the groom made off with his bride in a kidnapping.

Today, their jobs involve:
1. Standing up with the groom.
2. Helping plan the bachelor party.
3. Escorting the bridesmaids in the wedding and at the reception.
4. Dancing with bridesmaids and single females at the reception.
5. Supporting the groom through the wedding planning stages.
6. Helping the groom get through all the stress of the day.
7. Pay for your own wedding finery which you will have fitted before
the wedding day!
8. Attending all the celebrations before the wedding.
9. Help decorate the belling' car without the bride or groom finding out.
10. Sometimes you may help escort people in before the ceremony.
11. Get to the wedding early and help with any last minute needs.
12. Buy a wedding present from yourself or other groomsmen.
13. You may be required to give a speech or toast at the reception.

Maybe it's not as glamorous as in the early days, and the costumes may not be as cool, but it's still a big job with a lot of responsibility.   So make sure your guys are dressed for success with a Tuxedo from Tour of Elegance.
